A yin approach to Ayurvedic consultations


My approach to Ayurvedic consultations is more YIN than yang. It's soft, gentle, slow, and nurturing. 


That means no unrealistic expectations and no beating ourselves up for wanting to enjoy life. 


I won't ask you to quit coffee or get up at sunrise. I won't tell you to be vegan if you feel great eating meat. 


I will take my time listening to your concerns and share what has worked for me as a busy mom and entrepreneur. I'll support you without judgement and stay curious about your obstacles.


The point of my Ayurvedic consultations isn't to put you in another box (ie vata, pitta, or kapha). Nor is it to make you feel bad about eating chocolate cake. I love chocolate cake. 


Rather than shaming you into "eating healthy," my approach is to help you have the courage, and tools, to listen to your body and respond with loving action. 


Have you read Mary Oliver's beautiful poem called Wild Geese? The one that says "You do not have to be good. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves."


I think that applies here to Ayurveda. Big time.

How do I get started?


I offer Ayurvedic consultations online via ZOOM, for a small number of clients - Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at either 11am or 1pm ET.


I only work with people who are interested in a minimum of 3 sessions, since the depth and breadth of my Ayurvedic work is quite extensive.


I have also seen that we need at least 3 sessions to really make an impact.


Here’s what we would do in each session:


Session #1 - Detailed review of your current diet and lifestyle as well as your health history, any medications or supplements you are taking, and your goals for how Ayurveda can help you achieve more radiant health. You will leave this session with just 1 homework item and a request to do your homework everyday while taking notes about what is working, what is not working, and any results you are noticing.


Session #2 (Scheduled 1 or 2 weeks after Session #1)  - Review of the homework, question and answer, and discussion about further recommendations.


Session #3 (Scheduled 1 or 2 weeks after Session #2) - Review of the further recommendations, how implementation is going, and any emotional issues or resistance that is coming up. We conclude this session with a plan to move forward with either more sessions or a self-led plan that you feel you can maintain on your own.


In addition to the 3 sessions, you will receive:


  Email support between sessions

  Customized recipes, herbal recommendations, yoga and meditation practices to support your goals. Many of my clients have shared that they use these customized resources with great success for years to come.


The cost of the package is $999.
