Many of us feel bombarded with emails, text messages, voicemails, and other electronic stimuli on a regular basis. Even without considering our smartphones and computers, it can feel like our to-do list is never-ending. But getting away for a weekend can be challenging, and finding time for a longer silent retreat might not be possible. If you’re interested in retreat, but find it intimidating, overwhelming, or just plain hard to fit in your schedule, please join Sally for this precious opportunity to go inward and explore your body, mind and emotions with the support of a group. We’ll work to re-establish our connection with nature and the physical world around us through the practices of somatic meditation, yin yoga asana, walking meditation, mapping the meridians, and satsang, or spiritual discussion aimed at sharing wisdom. Our goal is to take a break from constant scrolling on social media, observe our impulse to check our phones, but not react to it (you’ll be asked to “turn in” your phone at the beginning of the day), and talk at the end about how to “go back” to the regular world and live with more balance and less stress. Much of the time spent in silence is guided by Sally’s voice, with some pure silence interwoven in manageable parts. The opening lunch is *not* in silence, to allow a smooth transition from our regular life into retreat life, and to set the context for why silence and spiritual practice can affect our lives in a positive way. Open to anyone with some yoga and meditation experience. This retreat is not appropriate for brand new beginners to yoga or meditation. 3:15 - 5:15   Guided Yin Yoga Practice
5:15 - 6:00   Break (in silence… to use as you wish. stay at the studio, rest, or walk)
6:00 - 7:00   Dinner (in silence, with instructions on mindful eating, chewing, pauses, and body awareness for optimal digestion)
7:00 - 7:30   Guided Three Gates Meditation
7:30 - 8:30   Mapping the Meridians with Emotional Healing Practices
8:30 - 9:00   Mindfully Breaking Our Silence and How to Transition with Boundaries, Ease, and Grace
